6 day weekend

so this weekend (which i managed to spread out to 6 days) was pretty damn fun. started with the snow day on wednesday: breakfast at keira's house where we were joined by two lovely rachels. we hungout and did a little mountain climbing (see keira's blog). then went over to sean's house for fun drunken game time.

friday was a day of soooooo much laughing. went for roomie breakfast at the ardmore then rach and rach and i decided we should go on an adventure to value village in dartmouth. we started with a great feast at jean's chinese which is our new favourite place on earth...

then caught the bus with our free u-pass

then took the ferry across to the mouth (my first time on this ferry) with some hot chocolate in hand

had lots of fun at value village finding clothes and wine glasses and jewels and scarves... the most momentous purchase however was of rachel's two new beaded headbands which pretty much started off the theme of the rest of the weekend... discovering our native roots!

i think it was rachm that started it all... but it lead to far too much hilarity for the rest of the weekend. it's a touchy subject because some might see our discovery as a tab bit offensive, but we must assure that it is all in the name of discovering our history and roots. we were named: walking tall (rachc), long stride (rachm) and has no names (has many names) (me) and the madness grew from there. do you have a minute to hear a tale?
anyways- there is far too much hilarity to convey on this but trust me... just ask rachm and she will tell you a tale beyond our times.
that was the highlight of the weekend really... played some cards, drank some wine, worked at the attic show on saturday, and ate more chinese food.
i guess i will go back to school on tuesday.

what the mump??

at the library "studying" right now. i can't decide if i want to write this exam tomorrow or not. maybe yes? maybe not??
i'm going to be in the jungle/on the beach in 3 days and it is all i can think about.
i'm at the kings library with sean and keira. keira and i just keep changing our msn names to various things related to the mumps, testicles, and richard going into quarantine. yeah we're pretty mature. uh huh.
it's amazing what is hilarious when you are trying to study in a silent room. i think everyone hates us. sean certainly does- we are distracting him from his intense msn conversations. he must have an msn exam tomorrow.
anyway. that's all... going to the beach.
see y'all in snowy jan.

cedar st. radio

so pretty good radio show tonight. katy rach and sas play 'smooth grooves' as always! too bad nick couldn't be there to play some hot jesse james or maybe some 12 minute long live blues tracks!! we love nick and his classic rock. did a lot of nothing this weekend. including getting waaaaay too drunk at tribeca on friday. i really need to not drink wine like it is water. there is something about red wine that i can't really explain. it's by far my drink of choice, but i cannot control the speed at which i drink it. weird of me. oh well there is no need for humans to be that drunk. feel pretty bad that it was rb's last night and i didn't really get to spend it with her in a normal(ish) mindstate.
movies seen this weekend:
melinda and melinda- pretty good. not as good as most woody allen and kind of weak ending, but will farrell was pretty good and the actress who played melinda is pretty damn hot.
hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy- LAME!! i kept checking the time to see when it was going to end. pretty disapointing particularly since i was looking forward to mos def and tim being amazing.

Incredible discovery of the week: www.last.fm
